i simply must tell you about my latest acquisition!  a marvel of modern technology called a '3-d printed thread winder'. it is quite an improvement over the wooden ones i currently use, and has made stitching so much more amenable. i can now wind my threads in no time at all, leaving me ample time to deal with the care of my ladies unmentionables.
 
speaking of unmentionables, have you heard the latest gossip surrounding miss jones? seen walking the moors yesterday with a tall, handsome gentleman! it seems their love is as unrequited as ever. enough of that scandalous fare- i must away to my stitches.

edit- sometimes i look back at stuff i wrote a really long time ago, and think... who was this? it was amusing, so i left it, but i'm adding a note. these threadwinders are SO PRETTY. this pearlescent filament is striking in person- on the level of mother of pearl. i'm trying to convince my husband we need more colors of it. that being said- blue and pink in 3D printed, and i'm adding laser cut acrylic for fall. check back soon (9/19 as i write this), i ordered 8 colors of acrylic today, and these will be a limited run for holiday.
